The Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters provides intelligent information to better manage the cost and quality of healthcare and accelerate scientific research and innovation.
The Analytic Consultant works independently to provide analysis and reporting to support initial database design/development and ongoing fraud and abuse detection efforts.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for task leadership and sub-task management on small to mid-size projects; complete assignments on time and manage sub-tasks within budget.
  • Conduct data analysis using basic to intermediate skills in statistics and database management.
  • Interact with clients in a professional manner and respond quickly to client requests.
  • Interact with project team in a collegial and professional manner.
  • Help foster teamwork to complete designated tasks.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in fields such as: Public Health, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Applied Mathematics or Information Technology.
  • 3 years experience with healthcare claims, eligibility and provider data
  • Any experience with Medicare/Medicaid preferred.
  • Proven task management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and basic skills in business intelligence tools such as SAS.
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters proprietary tools such as DataProbe a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
