Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a Development Specialist to join our Land Development Department. This staff member will assist in project and program coordination, and support project teams and clients in various economic development projects, programs, and pursuits Fishbeck is involved in.
Primary Function
  • Assis in project and program coordination with clients and internal multidiscipline departments.
  • Coordinate and communicate with brokers, owners, developers, and utility companies for property evaluations and due diligence studies.
  • Coordinate with property representatives, brokers, and local agencies in Site Readiness activities.
  • Schedule program kick-off meetings, process meeting minutes, follow-up with stakeholders, and distribute to parties involved.
  • Review properties; collecting ownership and broker information.
  • Create presentations for Real Estate and Community Development teams.
  • Assist with QA/QC process for property evaluations and site readiness programs.
Minimum Physcial Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Education/Licensure
Associate's degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
Desired Skills/Experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Land and Economic Development, Real Estate, A/E or Construction related fields.
  • Understanding of Commercial Real Estate transactions - specifically industrial land, is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, Work, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Co-Star, a plus.
  • Fundamental organization, problem-solving, communication (written and verbal), and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
