Job Purpose

Manager of Engineering Project Management (EPM) Group role is to motivate a group of EPM's to coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities within Light Vehicle Electrification business unit to deliver embedded software system on time and within cost targets. Successful candidate has demonstratable ability to create software engineering project management plan, schedules, resource utilization and KPIs to control, monitor and report the software engineering project activities for small and large size projects with global OEMs in electrified propulsion environment. This candidate will also lead or supports maturation of process, method and tools required for successful execution of software engineering projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible to build an efficient EPM team to lead the global software engineering project teams by creating and successfully executing a plan to develop embedded software system for defined projects for light vehicle electrification.
  • Responsible to coordinate with engineering management in securing resources for successfully producing the deliverables for the project, track and manage resource allocations, estimations, and actuals for projects.
  • Responsible for ASPICE MAN.3, MAN.5, SUP.9, and SUP.10. Work closely with quality team to close out any non-conformances related to SUP.1, IATF and related standards.
  • Responsible to manage required Functional Safety and Cybersecurity activities within the project milestones.
  • Lead or support customer technical meetings to demonstrate software engineering schedules, software engineering process compliance and technical design as required.
  • Ensure quality of software project engineering releases within the project.
  • Support program management as required.
  • Report software project progress to internal/external stakeholders as required.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in technical project management in automotive environment; preferably in propulsion and/or electrification systems.
  • Certification(s) in PMP, Agile/SAFe, ASPICE, ISO26262 and/or ISO21434 is a plus.
  • Proven experience to manage global software team for complex technical solutions.
  • Experience with projects complying to Functional Safety, ASPICE, and Cybersecurity Standard.
  • Working experience of project management tools like Jira, PlanView, or similar.
  • Knowledge of design tools related to mechanical, hardware and software product development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with all functions and levels across the organization
