Join the dynamic team at Pace Industries, located in Novi, Michigan, as the Vice President of Information Technology ("VP IT"). We are seeking an innovative and collaborative leader to provide direction for all aspects of our information systems strategy, execution, and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting, architecting, and implementing technologies that will differentiate our company from the competition. By leading continuous technology innovation efforts in conjunction with the business, we will achieve top-line growth while maintaining cost-effective operations through multiple business cycles. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • As an IT professional, you will play a crucial role as a trusted advisor to the business. You will work closely with C-level executives and business unit leaders to gain a clear understanding of their needs and identify opportunities for improvement. Your goal will be to ensure the cost-effective delivery of IT services that meet those needs and respond quickly to any changes in business priorities.
  • You will lead technology initiatives directly linked to the company's overall strategy as a senior management team member participating in strategic, commercial, and operational decisions.
  • You will be tasked with overseeing the modernization, architecture, and design of all crucial ERP processes, including those related to commercial, finance, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain. In addition to this, you will be responsible for deploying enterprise-wide IT systems, infrastructure, and IT services to establish a flexible IT architecture and cost structure.
  • You will be responsible for aligning the IT and business strategies to achieve company goals. This includes fostering innovation, organizing teams, and managing current and future technology solutions.
  • As a member of the senior leadership team, you will serve as a business partner by providing technological insight and advice to improve profitability, market share, and productivity.
  • As an innovative IT leader, you will identify technology-enabled solutions to the business that positively impact customer experiences and/or Pace team members.
  • You will serve as a valuable change agent and trusted business partner by providing continual technology education, insights, and advice to enhance business profitability, market share, and productivity through innovation and experience.
  • Working with cross-functional teams, you will oversee and implement security measures to protect against evolving cyber threats.
  • You will be responsible for modernizing and designing enterprise-wide IT systems and infrastructure to create a flexible IT architecture and cost structure.
  • You will implement an effective IT organizational structure, goals, and operational processes with the appropriate mix of internal IT and third-party support to meet business objectives.
  • You will identify opportunities for appropriate and cost-effective financial investment in IT solutions. Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments and develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • You will be responsible for developing, tracking, allocating, and controlling the annual operating expenses and capital budgets for information technology.
  • You will be responsible for assessing and enhancing the company's cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans across the enterprise.
  • You will be responsible for skillfully negotiating technology services and contracts with multiple IT vendors.
  • You will utilize your strong leadership skills to attract top-tier business and technology professionals to Pace Industries and then work to develop, coach, and mentor them for success.
  • You will establish and document effective IT policies & procedures ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • You have 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including experience in manufacturing.
  • You have an innovative mindset that envisions new paths and mobilizes the organization quickly to embrace new ideas while maintaining discipline on expense management comparable to industry benchmarks.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage and engage with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, board of directors, commercial, plant, engineering management, and operations.
  • You have extensive experience in project management, resource allocation, and negotiation.
  • You have had years of hands-on experience in IT applications and infrastructure.
  • You have extensive experience implementing cybersecurity solutions and processes to protect company users, assets, and data in a relatable way.
  • You have extensive experience in leading teams, managing budgets, and creating strategic plans that drive innovation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large ERP implementations within a manufacturing environment.
  • You have been working to gain greater understanding and exposure to advanced technologies such as AI/ML/ and GenAI.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
