A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

We are currently seeking a Contract Validation Engineer to join our team at the Troy, MI location.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform validation for telematics/infotainment products by utilizing test benches and vehicles
  • Support and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but other regions such as Korea
  • Support to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issues
  • Support production part approval process testing as needed (PPAP)
  • Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects
  • Create/maintain test cases per product specifications
  • Analyze test results to determine if product meet specifications
  • Responsible for executingSanity,Fulltest cases, and Regression/confirmation testingfor assigned sections
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to:
    • Lift/carry benches weighing up to 25lbs to setup workstation
    • Sit while driving/testing the vehicles for up to 3 hours at a time
    • Interact with display/center controller/steering wheel while driving or while stationary testing
  • Knowledge of
    • Infotainment/Telematic systems , Vehicle networking ( CAN/Ethernet ), Wireless technology (3G/4G,VoLTE)
    • Test bench and vehicle setup
    • Specifications and ability to analyze test results
    • Processes on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structure
    • How to interface with the bug tracking system
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges
  • Good Communication skills
  • Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Knowledge of vehicle development process
