Inside the Role

The Pilot Center is part of the global Pilot Centers for complete vehicle testing, Engines, FuelCells, Axels, eAxels, Battery ... etc.. Standardized processes and IT systems for Pilot Center operation are required. The CoC of T/IT is in charge of rolling out Daimler Truck IT solutions in this area and rely on an onsite support team during the implementation and daily operation support.

Position offers a starting salary range of$98,500 - $126,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

Ongoing Business

  • System operation of Muller, Hyperworks, Medina, Star CD CCM, GT-Suite, CALidator, DiVe, Sinopsys-Silver, HiL Operation

  • First and Second Level Support of Business User for all functionalities.

  • Incident and Demand management in cooperation with CoC IT and T/XCI

  • Testing of new transaction

  • Representing our business partner Engineering in the OMEGA initiative

  • Workshop Organization onsite (preparation, notification, clarification of scope)

  • Main contact person for business area and interface between DDC business team and CoC IT

  • Communicate future process and IT solution within DDC Business unit organization

  • Communicate open issues and concerns to respective IT contacts at CoC IT

  • Issue Tracking, follow up and reporting

  • Identify demand/requirement with business unit

  • Discussion with business unit and clarification of demand/requirement

  • Clarify & review demand specification

  • Qualify and consolidate demand

  • Confirm demand by business and IT (Change Request Sign-Off)

  • Identification of leading CoC (if needed) for handling of change request

  • Effort Estimation of demand (internal and external)

  • Change request management, tracking

  • Change request status reporting towards CoC IT and BU @DDC

  • Manage demand pipeline

  • Purchasing and setup of required hardware extensions Printer related

  • Plan ramp-up support based on local requirements (IT and business team)

  • OnSite Support and Training on the job during ramp-up phase

  • Identify training requirements within DDC business and IT

  • Arrange/Schedule training sessions

  • Prepare training exercises (questions, required data in the system) during the training

  • Conduct training for key users plan/conduct/control/documentation

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree
  • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Uses experience to contribute to standards in which others will operate

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in job field and working knowledge of related disciplines
  • Uses analytical thought to independently solve complex problems with minimal guidance and identify solutions
  • May lead team or department projects or work streams within broader projects
  • Acts as an advisor to management and key external stakeholders on job field related projects
  • Acts as a resource and guide for colleagues with less experience
