The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Skilled Plant Maintenance to work with our Aggregate Maintenance Company in Michigan.

Plant Maintenance position will analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild, and maintain crushing, screening, and conveyor systems. This person will also perform various maintenance duties in the plant and pit.

Pay: Minimum Pay $28.70

Responsibilities

The Plant Maintenance Position will:

• Use machinery to regulate the flow, quality, and size of materials to and from conveyors, crushers, and screens
• Inspecting and dismantling machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunctions and correct the problem
• Service plant and pit equipment as needed (e.g. minor adjustments, lubrication, cutting, welding).
• Operate mobile equipment such as excavator, bulldozer, loader, boom trucks, cranes and dredge
• Keep the work area clean and tidy
• Repair and replace defective parts
• Weld and fabricate various equipment and parts
• Travel to other sites as needed
• Shovel aggregate under conveyors and around the plant
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills
• Knowledge of equipment (e.g., conveyor lines, crusher, hot plant, wash plant, conveyor lines)
• Knowledge of materials and specification requirements
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment or at elevated heights
• Ability to manipulate components in hard-to-reach places with hands or tools
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
• Ability to work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
• Ability to work around water
• Valid Driver's license
