Be a part of the IHM Senior Living Community! We are looking for Part-Time Volunteer Services Coordinator to work in our 5-star healthcare facility in Monroe, Michigan. We are taking resumes from candidates that share our values and mission.

Part-Time schedule 20 hours per week-Monday-Friday with the flexibility to include weekend and evening coverage if needed:

Responsibilities:

The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, screening and assignment of volunteers in suitable roles, ensuring a good fit with IHM Senior Living Community. Additional responsibilities include onboarding volunteers with appropriate orientation, background check clearance, introduction of new volunteers to their department and supervisor. on-going support for the volunteers and supervisors, record keeping, regular communication to volunteers, local community outreach for recruitment and relationship building, providing ongoing and annual volunteer recognition and appreciation, problem solving and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Two years' experience in a volunteer leadership role or comparable work experience.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Resident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests, & abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software
  • Ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgments.
  • Dependability, with the ability to follow direction.
  • Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
