Be a part of the IHM Senior Living Community! We are looking for Part-Time Transport Drivers to work in our 5-star healthcare facility in Monroe, Michigan. We are taking resumes from candidates that share our values and mission in our skilled nursing facility.

Part-Time schedules include transport services during day hours Monday- Friday and may include some weekends. Position will be scheduled up to 40 hours per pay period.

Responsibilities:

    The Transport Driver is responsible to organize and oversee the transportation and companion needs of the IHM Senior Living Community residents including schedule drivers and companions to meet requests, respond to requests to pick up and/or deliver of materials i.e., emergency requests for medical supplies, lab, etc. Maintain communication with health services departments' staff and Resident Services/Wellness Coordinator. Drive vehicles as needed.

    Qualifications

    Must be at least 18 years of age and have a current State of Michigan Driver License as well as a Chauffeur License.

    Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred

    Experience: One year of previous driving experience

    • Ability to learn, understand and support the IHM mission and values.
    • Ability and willingness to work with others.
    • Enthusiasm, patience, tact, and cheerfulness under stress.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Able to work odd hours as needed or requested to include some weekends and evenings.
    • Ability to read and follow a map and/or written and oral directions.
    • Ability to assist elderly, ill and/or disabled in and out of the car.
    • Ability to drive the wheelchair van and to train others to do so.
    • Valid driver license and good driving record.
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop and move equipment, supplies, etc. throughout the day as
    • Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
    • Ability to maintain good relationships with others, regardless of personal preferences.
