Job Title: Electrician (Lead)- Software & Testing Solutions
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Onsite flexibility: All On-site

Our client is a global engineering consultancy providing services within the complete mobility space, including the passenger car and heavy-duty commercial industry. Job Description
Our client has an opening for a Electrician in the Software and Testing area. This group design, develop, test, and construct industrial automation and test products.

Responsibilities:
  • Reads drawings to wire and assemble electrical circuits for industrial control equipment
  • Assembles structural support (e.g., conduit, cable tray, enclosure pass-throughs) for electrical circuits
  • Travels to customer facilities to assemble and commission machinery
  • May assist with machine assembly
  • Occasionally assists with facility maintenance (e.g., shop and office lighting, adding power drops as needed)
  • Advises manufacturing and purchasing of material shortages or point-of-use material required
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Ability to supervise work safely with up to 480V circuits
  • Ability to use metering devices
  • Ability to understand complex engineering drawings and to debug/troubleshoot as needed
  • Ability to navigate PLC Software (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi)
  • Familiarity with conduit bending
  • Local, national, and some international travel required (10-20%)
  • Candidate must supply own tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with NEC and IEC standards and codes are highly preferred.
    • The NEC and IEC are two different electrical industry codes or standards. The National Electrical Code (NEC) is a US standard, whereas the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a global organization that publishes international electrical engineering standards.
Education:
  • Associates Degree, Trade or Technical School
