Position: VHE Business Operations Office. Dearborn, MI.
Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Job Description
As the Company adds more connectivity, electrification, technology and services to OEM vehicles and their user experiences, we are restructuring our Product Development Engineering teams to disrupt ourselves and create products and services that our customers cannot live without. With that comes the newly formed Vehicle Hardware Engineering Business Operations Office which will handle central responsibilities for the Exterior, Interior, Underbody, Electrified, Powertrain, Vehicle Architecture, and Systems Engineering Hardware Functions. This position has North American (and some global) responsibility for delivering both resource planning and budget for each of the Functional Hardware Teams. This position works with a cross-functional group of customers (Engineering Functional Teams, Planning, Resource Planning, Program Teams, and HR) on key strategic deliverables that support both organizational and functional budget delivery. This is an exciting transition time for the company and the Business Operations Office is at the forefront by partnering with the functions to deliver The OEM+ Plan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Planning, Resource Planning, Global Business Offices and Program Teams to complete Program studies on time for the required Milestones
  • Manage Interface between Planners/Architects and Engineering to ensure PRECISE AND WELL-DEFINED Program Assumptions are provided and understood
  • Store Program info and all related supporting documentation in an organized structure on the Business Operations Office SharePoint
  • Lead/Support functional resource management process and program sign-off inputs as SPOC (via RMM, GPRRS Review/Approval, ITM/NGIE processes, etc.)
  • Support Investment Efficiency Team (including model updates, functional input, workshops, etc.)
  • Analyze results of Investment Model runs and conduct final confirmations with Functional Engineers
  • Interface with Global Business Offices Counterparts to ensure all Program responsibilities are accounted for in each required region
  • Support VHE Strategy and Projects to further execute the VHE Objective deliveries
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent)
  • Program Management experience preferred
  • Design & Release and/or Systems Engineering experience preferred
  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage day-to-day responsibilities without direct oversight (self-motivated, process orientated)
  • Outstanding planning, organizational, data analysis and project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines
  • Effective negotiation skills with ability to interact effectively with ALL levels of management
  • Proficient in typical Microsoft Office tools - Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Online SharePoints, etc.
