Job/Internship Description
- Assist project engineers with development of propulsion and motion control feature development initiatives for SDA

- Support Model-Based Design activities to develop Simulink control models for new features related to efficiency management & vehicle dynamics

- Leverage virtual development practices to validate new control logic and determine performance benefits
- Development of new control functions within the propulsion and motion control domains
- Demonstrate effectiveness of new controls through virtual validation process
- Student pursuing a B.S/M.S. in Control System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Automotive Engineering from an accredited university
- Good understanding on controls theories and mechanical/electrical system dynamics
- 0~1+ years of experience in (1) developing and integrating controls logics and algorithms, (2) testing vehicle and vehicle propulsion & dynamic control systems, (3) developing vehicle and
control algorithm simulation models
- Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, propulsion & chassis control preferred

- Knowledge in electric vehicle systems, hybrid/conventional powertrains & related systems

- Experience in applying control theory in vehicle propulsion & dynamics

- Hands-on vehicle experience preferred

- Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape
- Experience with Rapid Prototyping process and tools such as ETAS INTECRIO, ETAS EHOOKS, and dSPACE MicroAutoBox
- Experience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as AVL-CRUISE or GT-SUITE
- Experience with traffic simulation tools such as CarMaker, CarSim, SUMO, and Vissim
- Strong interpersonal and technical problem solving skills
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
