POSITION SUMMARY

  • General support of information technology systems users; install and maintain computer hardware and software, printers and peripherals; address technology usage questions and problems. This person will mentor and lead the technical support personnel and perform higher tier technical support for system users throughout the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manage purchase requests for all hardware needs for the technical support department.
  • Manage stock of hardware for existing positions, and readiness for upcoming hires.
  • Create and manage the user accounts during onboarding ,off boarding, and title change events.
  • User support for various technology platforms, including computer hardware, Microsoft Windows, productivity applications, e-mail, etc.
  • Operate and staff Help Desk as a central point of contact to support and triage all issues for solution and/or preparation for escalation to next tier support personnel.
  • Installation, maintenance, and administration of information technology across platforms, including personal computers.
  • Set-up, install, move, and maintain computers and other hardware.
  • Maintain appropriate hardware asset tagging and inventory records.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 - 5 years of experience supporting users in varied environments with a primary emphasis in Microsoft Windows on a network.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC Hardware, Operating Systems and various applications.

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Logical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong customer skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work solo on a project but also a willingness to work in a team.
