General Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Sr. Laboratory Manager and/or Machine Shop Supervisor, the primary responsibility of this position is to setup and fabricate test fixtures as well as weld prototype shock absorber components using in-house MIG and TIG welders and jigs.
Job Responsibilities
Primary role of this position is to support activities of the Suspension Business Unit and Design Engineering groups by performing combinations of the following activities:
Qualifications
Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is also required.
Education: Possess a High School diploma or equivalent degree (2-year Associates Degree is preferred).
Experience: Have a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience in a machine shop environment.
Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.
Working conditions:
Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Must be able to demonstrate normal range of motion and manual dexterity.
