Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Reports to the Director of Pharmacy and works closely with the Administrative Manager(s) in charge of Pharmacy Operations. Is responsible for managing the provision of all patient care related pharmacy services for patients in the assigned area. Provides leadership for professional staff and provides overall assurance that pharmaceutical services meet patient care needs and are as economical as possible.

Addendum:

* Pharmacy enterprise management position

* Responsible for development, growth, optimization and management of Oncology pharmacy services for Henry Ford Health.

* Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and pharmacy staff within the Oncology pharmacy areas, in partnership with pharmacy enterprise business unit leaders.

* Responsible for being the pharmacy liaison for Oncology departments, providers, and leadership.

* Maintains vigilance and knowledge regarding national trends and headwinds; leads system Pharmacy Oncology response.

* Will collaborate with senior pharmacy leadership to develop, standardize, and optimize pharmacy operations.

* Serves as the point of contact for Oncology Service Line.

* Develops policies, processes, and guidelines to support optimal pharmacy practice and compliance.

* Develop budgets and targets to ensure financial performance measures are met.

* Promote change, facilitate redesign and implement systems and processes to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

* Partner with leadership to support optimal quality and safety processes and programs.

* Collaborate with Pharmacy and Oncology leadership to help develop and support strategic goals and initiatives.

* Perform all duties in a manner which promotes the team concept and reflects the High Value Pharmacy Enterprise mission and strategic plan.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have obtained an advanced degree (Pharm.D. or equivalent), completed a residency program approved by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, a fellowship in pharmacy, or have demonstrated a similar level of achievement in the practice of hospital pharmacy. Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan. Should be Board Certified in his/her area of specialty practice.
