Job Description

Genearal Purpose of Job:

Under the supervision of the LR Suprv or Environmental Facilities Manager, the LR Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service in the LR and throughout the club, supporting in towel services, and assisting members in a way needed. Their responsibilities include keeping the LR's clean, tidy, picked up, vacuumed, wiped down, and fully stocked at all times.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

  • Maintains hospitality, custodial and laundry services for the Michigan Athletic Club.
  • Provide proper safety for all patrons.
  • Maintain a kind, helpful and polite approach toward all patrons.
  • Attend and complete all training sessions. .
  • Fill out schedule request.
  • Find a substitute for any shift for which you are scheduled but unable to work.
  • Assist in special events, overnights and other activities as assigned.
  • Support operations by appropriately representing the MAC in all forums and by demonstrating commitment to MAC philosophy, mission, goals, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a role model for consistent demonstration of Sparrow Health System's Customer Service Behavioral Standards of Performance, by respecting the Privacy and Confidentiality of those we serve.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and respects patient, service provider, organizational confidentiality and HIPAA Security procedures and protocols as defined under the HIPAA Privacy and Security Procedures.
  • Follows established HIPAA privacy procedures when using and/or disclosing protected health information.
  • Adheres to ICARE values (Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence)

Job Requirements
General Requirements * CPR certification within 6 months of hire
Work Experience * None
Education * Attending High School or H.S Diploma desired
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Required: * Must be well-groomed and professional in appearance. * Must be able to communicate in a positive manner with staff, the public and other teammates. * Be willing and able to work well with people of various backgrounds and beliefs.
