Job Description

Job Title: Operations Controller

Job Overview: As an Operations Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. You will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as coordinating and optimizing various operational processes. Your role will involve collaboration with different departments to ensure financial goals are met and operational strategies are aligned with the overall objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
    • Provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
  2. Operational Coordination:

    • Collaborate with department heads to understand and optimize operational processes.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
    • Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses.
    • Present financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  4. Risk Management:

    • Identify and assess financial and operational risks.
    • Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management initiatives.
  5. Compliance and Governance:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
  6. Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for process improvement within finance and operations.
    • Implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  7. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor finance and operational teams.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA designation may be preferred).
  • Proven experience in financial management and operations, with a focus on strategic planning and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

Experience: Several years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or operations management, with a track record of success in a leadership role.
