Your Role

We are currently seeking a ForgingTrainertobe responsible for the training and retraining of Production Operators to include safe equipment operation, quality part requirements, and correct measuring techniques necessary to operate our Carlo Salvi parts former.

This is a 1st shiftposition with hours from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM,Monday - Friday (weekends when required). This position is located in New Hudson, Michigan.

To succeed, you will need

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Train new team members on work instructions, forms per process control plan, SPC software, measuring techniques, equipment, and wire size
• Teach and apply the use of cold forming principles
• Utilize and analyze micrometers, calipers, and additional measuring devices
• Attend continuous trainings and apply to process
• Operate hand tools including, electric grinder, bolt cutters, and wrenches
• Assist operators with technical machine issues
• Troubleshoot production quality issues
• Assist leader and transition to production operations when required
• Participate in Production Operator interviews
• Follow 5-S principles
• Operate powered industrial trucks

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understand Safety and Quality come first
• Minimum 3 years cold forming / forging experience and Senior Operator level
• Ability to read and understand steel-labels and lot-control tags

• Experience running all rivet types, including T-Rivets and 6 Station parts
• Ability to understand and measure parts utilizing appropriate measuring tools
• Basic computer skills including Excel
• Basic mathematic skills to include decimals and fractions
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly

EDUCATION:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required
