Vehicle Energy Efficiency Summer Intern
Superior Township, MI
Job/Internship Description
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently looking for a Vehicle Energy Efficiency Intern to join the Electrified Propulsion Development team in Superior Township, MI.
Essential Duties:
- Collect and analyze vehicle data for fuel efficiency and emissions development.
- Run vehicle testing in dynamometer to validate vehicle fuel economy status.
- Develop and use vehicle efficiency simulations for fuel economy target setting.
- Simulink-based vehicle fuel efficiency model development and validation
- Collaboration and Communication: You will collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and team members on one or more projects.
Desired Skills
- Hands-on vehicle experience or student project experience in Formula SAE/Baja/Ecocar or robotics
Minimum requirements
- Pursuing bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering with minimum of a sophomore rating
- Must have experience developing MATLAB, Python scripts for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong analytical capabilities, strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong desire to take responsibility for a vehicle attribute and develop a plan to develop it.
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
