General Responsibilities:

The Regional Chief Sales Account Manager will work closely with customers (European OEMs) and internal teams to support commercial activity related to brake/chassis products. Account management responsibilities include acting as a main point of contact for customers, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries, preparing sales reports and summaries, identifying growth opportunities, and working closely with internal teams to manage commercial activity related to the Brake products. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and open to learning chassis product specifications and manufacturing processes so as to communicate confidently with knowledgeable customers.

Job Responsibilities:

The main duties and responsibilities include the following:

Communication:

  • Interface regionally with the customer and represent the customer voice internally
  • Enhance the customer relationship management
  • Support the regional 5-year outlook and AOP (pricing, acquisition projects, sourcing decisions)
  • Interface with OEM engineering, purchasing, and cost analysis teams

Coordination:

  • Identify the trends of the customer, in coordination with marketing
  • Coordinate and complete customer quotations
  • Support customer visits to manufacturing sites and sales offices globally

Execution:

  • Promote regional innovation at the customer
  • Improve regional customer account profitability
  • Analyze costs and pricing for customer brake applications
  • Receive, verify, and manage customer purchase orders
  • Support customer cost breakdown activities
  • Track and update customer contracts
  • Maintain and control project expenses
  • Support commercial aspects of product development and design changes
  • Understand customer's expectations
  • Understand the customer's organization, program milestones, and key deliverables

Qualifications:

The Ideal candidate will:

Key Competencies: Strong understanding of his customer(s), Understanding of automotive market dynamics and requirements, Technical negotiation, Understanding of financials, Fluent English level, Intermediate German level.

  • Professional and technical knowledge: Office Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc. SAP, Fluent English language.
  • Behaviors: Critical Thinking, Result oriented, Leadership, Collaboration & Teamwork, Ownership & Accountability
  • Skills: Experience working with European OEMs is preferred, Excellent analytical and communication skills, Well organized, inquisitive, and independent, Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail, Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Powerpoint, Availability for travel, including international

Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education: Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering, Business Studies, or equivalent

Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience in the Automotive industry and/or key account management

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Working conditions:

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed. The candidate will occasionally need to travel to multiple global locations.
