Job Summary:

Provides support to the Director of Therapy Compliance in areas of therapy expertise. Directs education efforts to communicate compliance programs, including written materials and training programs designed specifically to promote understanding of compliance issues, laws, and regulations, and consequences of non-compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Maintains awareness of laws and regulations, keeping abreast of current changes that may affect health care systems.
* Responds as needed to annual audits of the compliance systems.
* Conducts audits of therapy and other related compliance programs to ensure compliance with Company standards.
* Monitors therapy documentation and billing practices to ensure compliance with Company policy and Federal regulations.
* Supports the company's system for confidential reporting and investigation of compliance concerns with an appropriate response process.
* Investigates and responds to compliance concerns and allegations, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to address any identified issues.
* Analyzes therapy and compliance trends, communicates and educates on identified areas of opportunity in collaboration with therapy, clinical and operations leadership.
* Provides education and training on compliance-related topics, including but not limited to confidentiality, privacy and security, HIPAA, documentation, and billing practices.
* Periodic travel including overnight stay as necessary.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Master Degree
Experience: 3-5 years

Licenses and Certifications:

Must hold applicable valid and unencumbered state license.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
