Job Title: Supply Chain Liaison

Job Location: Romulus, Michigan

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Liaison. In this role you will develop, implement, and manage integrated logistics solutions that impact customer warehousing, distribution, and inventory of products and materials. This role includes planning and managing specialized logistics development projects for customers seeking solutions to their sourcing and distribution issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participates in designing, implementing and managing specialized logistics development projects for companies seeking solutions to sourcing and distribution issues
• Puts the proper procedures/processes in place, and sets up information technology for new logistics projects
• Develops and documents work instructions, requirements and well-defined project/implementation plans for logistics projects; tracks and reports the progress and status of logistics projects
• Analyzes data and prospective customer service requirements; evaluates current total supply chain scenarios of target clients versus the development and evaluation of alternative scenarios
• Selects the optimum scenario which, while suiting a particular target client, fully exploits current DHL capabilities and/or identifies possible enhancements of DHL services
• Calculates specific service provision and project costs
• Monitors service performance to ensure compliance with agreed customer standards utilizing established measurement tools; ensures vendor compliance with service agreements
• Proactively work with various sectors such as other stations and departments
• Understand and follow customer SOPs and COPs
• Responsible for creating and updating customer daily, monthly, and quarterly reports and any resolutions required
• Participate in customer communication to address outstanding issues and complete resolution
• Responsible for quoting/arranging of shipments
• Assisting in accounts receivables, including customer communication

Skills / Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain
• Must have minimum intermediate Excel experience (creating pivot tables, utilizing filters, producing reports, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding business
• Effective communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• High level leadership skills (communication, motivation and interpersonal skills)
• Ability to make well informed decisions
