About the Role
The Car Audio Brand DNA Intern will be working with a cross-functional HARMAN team of engineering, marketing, design and finance to define the automotive future of HARMAN's brands. You will work closely with engineering to learn HARMAN's newest technologies and develop a perspective on how each fits the design principles of HARMAN's brands. You will work with cross functioning teams, such as marketing, design and finance, to integrate new technologies into HARMAN's brand materials and learn about the core principles of bringing world-class products to market.
What You Will Do
Learn the new technologies and HARMAN's brands
Determine a fit of new technology to each HARMAN brand
Discuss and share perspective with a wide set of stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Work with Marketing and Design teams to integrate new technology into brand pitch materials and reference design materials
Work with finance to update pricing and develop the business model
What You Need
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Must have taken courses in, or closely related to, Signal Processing, Embedded Programming, Systems Engineering, and/or Acoustics
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives
Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Must be self-motivated and can work both independently and effectively as part of a team
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full work availability from May 20, 2024 through August 9, 2024 and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload
What is Nice to Have
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge or coursework in embedded software, especially in mobile or automotive IVI applications, digital signal processing, or acoustics
Working knowledge of coursework in marketing, design thinking or finance
Interest in Product Management and audio or automotive industry
