Beaumont Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)

A new, 144-bed behavioral health facility - Beaumont Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility will provide a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary:

The Intake Clinician obtains initial clinical information which is communicated to the physician on call to make a final decision regarding admission. The Clinician may also schedule a clinical evaluation if appropriate for the client and contacts the physician who will make decision for the appropriate level of care: inpatient, day treatment or outpatient care. The Clinician will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources. The Clinician also provides information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

Education and License:

• MSW with Michigan LMSW (fully licensed) or Associates in Nursing or BSN with Michigan RN license

• At least 1 to 3 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a psychiatric hospital.

Work Hours: This full-time night shift position will consist of 3 12-hour shifts, 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekends and holidays.
