Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), affiliate entity of Plante & Moran, PLLC (PM) provides fully integrated Program Management/Owners Representation and Real Estate Services exclusively to corporations and institutional organizations. Our PMR team is seeking Project Cost Accountants who record, report and track real-time costs for our construction projects. This position will collaborate with project managers to create cost visibility for projects at all stages.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Reconcile and balance accounts, develop cash flows and cost-to-complete reports
  • Verify contracts, and orders and validate against payment requests
  • Ensure the maintenance of all essential documentation
  • Demonstrate competence in numeric analysis, problem resolution, contract interpretation, and ability to learn/apply new information quickly
  • Monitor hours and costs to determine trends and to assist in forecasting
  • Maintain the projects PMIS system (e.g. e-Builder) allowing internal and external clients to monitor the project status and financials
  • Involvement with documentation of accounting related processes and procedures
  • Review of AIA payment applications
  • Engagement and collaboration with the project management team
  • Numeric analysis, problem resolution, and contract interpretation
  • Periodic visits to clients to review cost reporting
The Qualifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business administration (preferably accounting)
  • 2+ years construction accounting experience
  • Industry experience with commercial real estate (Real Estate Broker, Lending Office, Internal Real Estate Department) is highly preferred.

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows:

$5,416.66 to $7,500.00
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
