Job Description
Trust Ops Alt Group Manager
Define and lead the ongoing strategic design, development and execution of Wealth platform account opening applications, products and processes. Manage and develop a collaborative team of professionals comprised of managers, advisors and analysts who serve as subject matter experts responsible for the successful date to day execution of Wealth platform account opening, new business engagement, risk oversight, compliance and client team delivery and training.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Directs the strategy and growth of the wealth platform workflow to develop framework and oversight for new business solutions.
  • Architect and drive short and long term project management of large scale to drive teams, systems and procedural changes or improvements for Wealth account opening.
  • Leads major initiatives to develop and enhance the technological and procedural components of Wealth account opening, including product ownership, change management and technical improvements.
  • Evaluates complex problems to identify root cause and establish remediation plans or necessary policy and procedure revisions.
  • Translates sophisticated concepts into technological solutions to enhance the customer and business experience of Wealth account opening.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, direct oversight, and management to Wealth account opening team.
  • Summarize and effectively convey information and reporting metrics to senior leadership for the purpose of responding to inquiries or advancing the interests and opportunities of the division.
  • Develop, monitor and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, audit and compliance inquiries and tax and fiduciary laws.
  • Partners with all lines of business, risk, compliance, legal, in-market leadership and audit to identify, prioritize, remediate and report any risk or control gaps for various complex fiduciary strategies.
  • Creates new business partnerships using extensive subject matter expertise through ongoing consultation and proactive education initiatives.

Position Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree with a preferred emphasis on Business or Finance, advanced degree or designations preferred: JD, MBA, CFP
  • Significant experience (> 10 years) in Fiduciary or Wealth line of business
  • Management expertise leading a geographically disbursed team and demonstrated ability to lead and influence effectively
  • Strong understanding of fiduciary principles, including advanced knowledge of estate planning, tax and administration topics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate complex information clearly to internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated risk management skills; keen analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills and ability to adopt new application skills efficiently
  • Advanced knowledge of Trust accounting and onboarding applications
  • Process mapping and workflow development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to translate concept to viable product/service
  • Demonstrated ability to deconstruct and reconstruct workflows, teams, etc. with the intent to mitigate risks and/or improve efficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively, and creatively while exercising sound judgement
