Consumer Loan Center (CLC) Bankruptcy Specialist
The Bankruptcy Specialist position is part of the Retail Team and is responsible for monitoring, filing court documents, research, investigations for consumer instalment and revolving Bankruptcy filings. The products include secured, 1st Mortgage, and real-estate secured. Vendor management and oversight of outside vendor for the Bankruptcy accounts.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Ability to identify new filings and changes in Bankruptcy status.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple tasks and prioritize workflow.
  • Requires diverse and complete knowledge of Bankruptcy processes and filings.
  • Monitor third-party vendor through the entire Bankruptcy process.
  • Prepare and file Proof of Claim, Payment Change Notices, Final cure
  • Work with counsel and monitor Stipulation Order, Reaffirmation, Cramdown, Lift of Stay.
  • Knowledge of applicable Legal laws within Comerica's footprints.
  • Completes collection outbound calling when applicable, and answers incoming calls regarding.
  • Bankruptcy matters and delinquency.
  • Communicates with counsel regarding legal issues.
  • Ability to analyze factors and situations, demonstrate sound decision capabilities within department guidelines in order to accurately expedite responses.
  • Coordination of payments that align to Trustee payment schedules.

Position Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in Filing Bankruptcy OR Paralegal Certificate
  • 1 year of experience with Pacer and Bankruptcy Trustee websites preferred
  • 1 year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
