See Yourself as a VP, Strategic Finance

The VP, Strategic Finance for Radian Mortgage Capital is responsible for strategic planning, operational process management reporting, financial controls, and entity performance management. This role will be integral to working with the business leadership on setting strategy, tactical execution, reporting performance metrics and creating/monitoring a proper control environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • "Right hand" Chief of Staff of business entity leader. Responsible for strategic planning function, forecasting, data analysis, internal financial reporting, budgeting

  • Provides operating departments with key metrics/dashboards to manage respective areas.

  • Integral player in growth initiatives...production, operational and technological.

  • Financial governance (SOX-compliant P&Ps, Internal Audit point of contact).

  • Develop and manage pricing and profitability framework/models and analysis used to run the business (from lock to fund), both tactically and strategically.

  • Pro forma analysis for new and existing products and programs.

  • Manage all facets (strategy, processes, metrics, systems, reporting) surrounding the pricing of products and reporting of results of the business.

  • Develop pricing expertise with our current systems and develop tools to enhance our execution of our pricing strategies by developing surrounding processes, owners, timelines and reporting.

  • Support operational and pricing system enhancements with the IT department.

  • Main point of contact with Corporate FP&A and Accounting for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and planning

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience: 10 years of prior work related experience

Additional Qualifications

  • Previous relevant experience at a mortgage company, correspondent lender or bank with mortgage lending arm.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • CPA and/or CFA designation is preferred

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to institute structure as needed

  • Cross functional mindset and ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities

Preferred Education Level: Master's Degree in Finance and/or Accountancy

Preferred Years of Prior Work-Related Experience:10 plus year of prior work experience with 4 or more job specific or relevant experience

  • Competitive Compensation:anticipated base salary from $132,000 to $216,000 on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program and long term incentive program.
