GENERAL FUNCTION: Drive analytics and reporting around asset quality and portfolio performance of customer segments and products. Drive the development of transparent, standard, management reporting across all lines of business and sales channels.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze customer base in terms of regional market, lending verticals and lines of business, and specialty lending products. Develop understanding of asset quality and loan portfolio performance metrics associated with performance in these areas.
  • Develop and maintain reporting delivery solutions, such as portals and dashboards within supported BI tools and infrastructure.
  • Develop target groups around loan type and origination channel based upon analytics/models of our customer base.
  • Provides insights around key customer segments and performance. Analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement in asset quality and loan portfolio performance.
  • Analyze customer data and demographics to understand loan type and origination channel.
  • Data mining and predictive analytics.
  • Incorporate analytics and understandings into market level reviews. Summarize and present data in an effective manner that supports market recommendations.
  • Includes understanding the local market and conducting a detailed analysis around asset quality and portfolio performance.
  • Builds relationships with key partners in the bank including IT, lines of business, and marketing. Provides support around business case analysis driven by the lines of businness.
  • Provides input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates and other aspects of assigned projects.
  • Identify and work with vendors to benchmark Fifth Third's performance vs. peer groups.
  • Identify and provide best in class metrics (i.e., cross-sell).
  • Conduct market research to understand valuable insights on industry trends, customer segments, sales channels, etc.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May be responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, finance, economics or related field. MBA a plus.
  • Typically requires minimum of 5-7 years' work experience.
  • Computer/Technical: Significant experience with data analysis tools and languages (SAS, SQL, Business Objects, etc).
  • Proficient with MS-Windows and other related PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team.

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
