The Role

JOB SUMMARY:

JOB SUMMARY The Industrial Product Controls Engineer for Atlas Copco will have focus for on-time delivery of new embedded products. You will report to the Group Controls Manager. You will work at the New Hudson, Michigan facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • You will participate in regular scrum meetings to support our Agile work methodologies.
  • You will develop sustainable features and products to deliver the agreed roadmap.
  • You will contribute developed code (for products and business scripting) into DVCS Repositories.
  • Understand and apply regional and customer standards / specifications.
  • Support root-cause analysis and reproduction of reported opportunities for efficient resolution
  • You will update living documents for department inputs, project artifacts, and engineering processes.
  • Help develop internal and external resources in application of best practice engineering disciplines.

What we expect of you?

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • You will implement standard products to meet the needs of our partners. You will work with many other groups to collect, understand, and complete our deliverable requirements.
  • We ask that you are fluent in English in both written and spoken form.
  • OOP design and application plus support procedural scripts and legacy solutions [C#, C++, Python, ST].
  • You will contribute to a global engineering community, familiarity with other languages welcome.
  • A team player and broad-minded engineer with an interest in solving problems and decreasing waste.
  • Open to limited travel to local customers or suppliers and global engineering centers.
  • Aware of hardware components comprising industrial control systems and their IEC schematic utilization.
  • Plan for the expected behavior in both valid and invalid scenarios.

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An education and experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university course OR Minimum 3 years related experience.
  • Capability to express requirements in specific User Stories and supported test cases
