Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

KLA is seeking a motivated Principal AI Architect in our algorithm group at the AI & Modeling Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor, MI, USA. Join our team to create a strategic vision to transform the semiconductor industry, and work together on some of the most challenging engineering problems!

In this position, you will bring your strong academic background and proven industry experience to develop a comprehensive strategy for Artificial Intelligence and pursue differentiation opportunities for innovative industrial analytics. You will provide technical domain expertise, mentorship, and visionary leadership in a highly collaborative team to research, develop, and deliver production-grade systems involving Deep Learning.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the strategy for designing architectures for Artificial Intelligence systems, including specifying system and sub-system requirements.

  • Create and drive differentiation opportunities to improve industrial data analytics with deep learning.

  • Collaborate with research and engineering teams to integrate the optimal solutions

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in an industry environment architecting production-scale Machine Learning systems

  • Proven experience developing business solutions for AI

  • Experience designing systems using cloud-based high-performance computing infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google) for Deep Learning workloads is preferred

  • Great teammate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Hybrid Work:

  • This position allows flexibility and may require at least 3 days a week at the office.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in Applied Math, EE, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field preferred with 8 years of work experience OR

  • Master's Level Degree with 10+ years of work experience
