Job Description

SUMMARY

Drives Salvation Army vehicle to pick-up and transport beneficiaries and] or employees from-and to specified destinations and/or deliver packages, inter-office mail, etc. as requested by supervision,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES /Responsibilities:

Transport beneficiaries to/from work therapy assignments-

  • Transport Salvation Army personnel to/from official business-
  • Responsible for the safety and security of assigned
  • Responsible to promptly report to immediate supervisor ail accidents involving assigned personal injury or property damage-

5 Act as personal representative of The Salvation Army and ensure that all passengers are treated courteously. Immediately report any problems in pick-ups to immediate supervisor through the dispatcher

6 Wear provided back guard when doing any substantial lifting or moving.

Personally, maintain a neat appearance, including clean clothing, clean shaven, neatly trimmed hair, shirttail tucked in and appropriate head gear.

  1. Responsible for loading and unloading of assigned vehicle when making deliveries.

Job Objective:

Process donated good in the back room of a store or in the warehouse. Follow all procedures as set out by The Salvation Army in the handling and processing of these goods. Provide excellent customer service to our shoppers and donors. Maintaining a clean and well organized work and shopping experience. Handling each transaction with accuracy.

Essential Functions:

  • Sort, tag and price merchandise as instructed.
  • Tracks production numbers and reports in the assigned location.
    • Moves priced merchandise to floor for display and stocking or to the designated shipping location in the warehouse.
  • Assists donors with donations. Complete donation receipts, collect donor information and track donors.
  • Power sorting donations into the correct bins.
    • Receives ARC Center Trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.
  • Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
    • Follows all Salvation Army policies regarding the sale of merchandise.
    • Assist in keeping the -floor stocked and put new merchandise out as assigned. Work to meet the production goals for the store each day as needed. Must be available for a flexible schedule.
