Managing Director II Head of Originations
The Loan Syndications Managing Director II Head of Originations role will be responsible for leading a team of colleagues providing expertise in structuring and pitching syndicated loans and other capital market debt facilities for and to clients.
Position responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Leads a team of loan syndications colleagues that are responsible for growing NII through structuring, arranging, syndicated loans, other capital market debt facilities, and administrative agent operations.
- Marketing:
- Identifies and executes loan syndication business development efforts for Comerica's capital markets by working with business relationship managers to call on clients.
- Training:
- Responsible to keep training and advancing the development and capabilities of senior bank colleagues on the Originations team and to some degree members of the Distributions team.
- Ensures regulatory compliance and risk management training and monitoring of the team.
Position Qualifications:
- 4 year Bachelor Degree
- 10 or more years experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry
- 7 years of experience in Investment Banking/Corporate Finance/Loan Syndications or related Capital Market areas, including knowledge of the loan syndication process and knowledge of various private placement debt and equity products
- 3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Licenses & Certifications:
- Series 7, 63, 79, 24 required; Can have 24 in progress if not currently supervising
