Job Description
In this role, you are a wizard in technical publications and digital content that maintains the complex wiring manual to a higher degree of accuracy and enable better content alignment in the systems. You've got the serious authoring skills of wiring manual with experience in creation, modification of functional principle diagram, wiring diagram, location view and electrical components.

Other day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creation and update of platform based diagram, VIN specific diagram, connector view, harness locations views, CAN bus topology, ground topology and electrical components layout. The ability to handle all types of wiring diagram developments
  • Create markups for schematics with proper references/drawings/part information
  • Development of service wiring information for platform based/VIN specific vehicles and associated graphics that can support additional auto render and electrical diagnostic
  • Development of information related to connector end views, pin out tables, location views, fuses and relays tables, and other related wiring information
  • Adhere to policies and standards

Location

This role is located in Detroit, Michigan. It is currently an in-office role (with the opportunity to become a hybrid role in the future).

Hours & Shifts

The work hours are Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Training

Individuals are provided paid training.

Travel

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in automotive technical writing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with mechanical or automotive as the specialization
  • Experience in the automotive industry with the ability to handle variety of wiring diagram developments for vehicles
  • Thorough understanding of the WDM workflow for automotive tech pubs (functional principle diagram, wiring diagram, location view and electrical components)
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with office tools (Microsoft Office suite) and comfortable with wiring and schematics development tools
  • Ability to collaborate with Electrical Design and Service Engineers to gather key information for processing
  • Good knowledge of the vehicle construction process: timing, activities and processes of engineering, plant and suppliers
  • Knowledge of the basics of automobile technology: components, operation and performance of the main parts and functions of a vehicle

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Albany County, NY, California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.

Role Location: Starting Hourly Rate for role:

California: $28.50 to $31.10

Colorado: $26.00 to $26.00

Albany: $24.70 to $24.70

New York City: $31.90 to $31.90

Washington: $26.70 to $26.70
