Supply Chain Systems Planner - Data and Analytics

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the execution and use of data to enhance supply chain systems and meet company objectives across two business units for North America. Responsibilities includes managing master data for all supply chain systems, maintaining data flow for monthly rough-cut capacity process, conducting and leading complex analytic exercises, and using system expertise to ensure users are optimizing system usage through data integrity. This position has a special role in the implementation phase of the recently approved supply chain capacity planning and scheduling system - acting as a data expert and a liaison with project management, IT, consultants and supply chain users to ensure data sets are functional, users are trained, and the system is configured appropriately. The position will lead on publishing data metrics and working with team members and all key stakeholders to improve the essential SC metrics.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for the management of supply chain systems master data - including work centers, product hierarchies, performance data - which includes ensuring the data exchanged with the new planning system delivers "clean" results that meet the SC and company needs for planning. This requires testing and auditing of planning systems while developing corrective actions with planners.
  • Develop methods to oversee planning and system data. Works with planning and scheduling user community to train and optimize system performance through correct data usage and configuration.
  • Provides key role in implementation of major systems projects - centered around data usage. This includes cleaning, mapping, testing, and scenario creation of data sets required to run the system. Coordinates across multiple functions and 3rd parties to ensure resolution of system issues.
  • Supports monthly rough-cut capacity planning process, along with developing, integrating, and maintaining analytics and reporting of monthly plans for key stakeholders.
  • Administration of EDI master data using Seeberger software.
  • Establish best practices for EDI and e-Commerce business processes.
  • Using data from BW, SAP, Advanced Planning and Scheduling system, and other internal and external systems - conducts complex analytical exercises in logistics, network optimization, line loading, and inventory performance. Supports the entire SC team with data and analytics, enabling decision making in numerous business/operations initiatives.
  • Develops and publishes supply chain metrics to the organization and to specific functional stakeholders - working directly with the stakeholders to drive improvements in these key metrics.
  • Utilize predictive analytics to identify critical areas of business cost that require management attention.
  • Provides oversight of all master data elements within Supply Chain business ownership such as product hierarchies and segment reporting. Works to provide continuity in the data approaches as business conditions change.
  • Supports data integrations efforts related to all acquisitions.
  • Works closely with those who develop data capabilities and solutions. Provides design elements to assist in the configuration of new data tables and links between system.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management or IT Systems
  • 4 -6 years of experience using data analytics in a business environment.
  • Expert knowledge of supply chain systems
  • Expert knowledge in the usage of cloud based planning and scheduling systems.
  • Proficient in the use databased systems, SAP, advanced Excel, and Business Objects
