Sales Associate

Position Overview:

This is an entry level sales position. The role is intended to offer an employee exposure to all facets of the sales organization for the Specialty Containers Business Unit. This role will provide a foundation for understanding the Beverage business and basis upon which to grow a commercial career. The incumbent will support assigned Account Managers success with their customers and assist in internal processes designed to streamline our customer's experience.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate and communicate pricing changes with sales, the cash management group and customers.
  • Manage sales and coordination of orders for various house accounts.
  • Provide forecasting support to the Supply Chain Organization.
  • Coordinate sales data for monthly reporting (e.g. for board report).
  • Contact select customers regarding status of accounts receivable.
  • Provide miscellaneous support for the Sales and Marketing functions.
  • Assist in price quotations, monitoring contract compliance and the development of promotional events and procurement of promotional items.
  • Prospecting and lead qualification.
  • Managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Execute tactical plans based on strategic direction of the business.
  • Commercial & financial analysis.
  • Coordinate and work with plants, R&D group, F&A to complete the specification sheet for stock packages.
  • Assist Market Development Manager in research projects, analyzing segment, building customer, competitive and product database.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Support commercial team in lead generation and qualification process.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of one year of sales experience
  • Excellent working knowledge or Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Outlook and PowerPoint software is required, and SAP and SalesForce knowledge is preferred
  • High energy level with the capacity for learning and learning quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization (i.e., with Purchasing, Finance, R&D)
  • Strong communications skills (written, spoken, presentation, listening)
