Inside the Role
Provide general instrumentation support (test cell and engine systems) to the Daimler-Detroit Diesel Powertrain Engineering Laboratory. Duties of an Instrumentation technician encompass a wide range of responsibilities including modifying, fabricating, maintaining and calibrating a variety of instrumentation test cell equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the following systems such as fuel measurement systems, air flow measurement systems, data acquisitions systems and engine dynamometer control systems. This position requires fundamental knowledge and system level expertise to troubleshoot, identify and repair test cell instrumentation equipment. This position requires the individual to complete task in a timely manner to maintain the engineering laboratory productivity efficiency level at or above the target performance goal. This position requires the individual to develop and maintain good interpersonal skills, as interfacing with other technician and engineering personnel is required. Additionally, this position may at times require communication with outside vendors and collaboration within the global Daimler AG engineering organization.We Take Care of Our Team
This position offers a starting salary range of $50,000 - $94,000
