At Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), our teams are focused on developing and making plastic bottles and jars that create a unique experience and are better for the environment. About the Opportunity:

Amcor Rigid Packaging is seeking an intern/co-op that will commence in May 2022and will give the selected student; a challenging project-based work experience, the opportunity to learn about Amcor Rigid Packaging business, the packaging industry, and receive mentorship from business leaders. This role will report to one of our Procurement Leadersand have significant exposure to our business and leadership teams.

Internship Assignments:

This internship offers a broad experience within the Amcor Procurement Group and the selected intern will gain experience leading and contributing towards robust procurement projects. There are multiple internships available and projects may include the following:

  • Develop and improve data analytics to drive stronger negotiating positions during the tender/bid process
  • Lead or support key ongoing procurement projects and initiatives to drive impactful business results (PBIT, Payment Terms etc.)
  • Support the deployment and communication of new, or changes to existing, business processes, policies and metrics across Procurement
  • Support managers in the planning and/or execution of the strategic processes used to source services and/or products from third party suppliers
  • Support cross-functional business process improvement initiatives
  • Support and, as required, lead benchmarking activities to determine industry best practices, metrics and processes
  • Participate in and, as required, lead brainstorming sessions focused on problem solving in support of Procurement initiatives
  • Perform analytical reviews and conduct research on a variety of projects within Procurement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Packaging, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or BusinessMajor (Preferred)
  • Must have at least Sophomore standing at time of application
  • 3.2 GPA or higher, cumulatively
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future
