At Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), our teams are focused on developing and making plastic bottles and jars that create a unique experience and are better for the environment. Our bottles and jars are primarily made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which has rapidly become the world's preferred packaging material. Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the management of the PepsiCo Hot Fill National Account to ensure customer satisfaction and attainment of volume, sales revenue, profitability and working capital objectives. The PepsiCo Hot Fill National Account Manager will help manage the largest and most complex customer in ARP. On an annual basis, this position is responsible for ensuring flawless execution and delivery of billions of hot fill containers and preforms to the customer.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drive account strategy by developing and executing an annual account plan and a 3-5 year account strategy including trends impacting the account and strategies (offensive and defensive) to grow and defend Amcor volume and improve profitability.
  • Identify, develop and sell the value proposition for new product and service opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and work with internal stakeholders (supply chain, operations engineering, quality, finance plants, R&D) to deliver customer projects and manage the day to day functions of the account.
  • Identify the needs and buying factors of key decision makers and influencers beyond purchasing and craft a relationship plan to expand and deepen sphere of influence and extract value.
  • Serve as the internal customer advocate and drive customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Conduct and support Amcor plants with customer filling site partnership meetings and conduct systematic account performance reviews.
  • Conduct Commercial Analysis by supporting monthlyforecasting and actual and budgetary analysis as requested.
  • Work with and/or Lead operations and commercial finance to evaluate variances, leakage plugs, plant-specific issues to drive bottom line improvement of customer and organizational profitability.
  • Work with National Account Specialist and Marketing to develop and maintain competitor intelligence including supply locations and volume, segment trends and filling site volumes and trends.
  • Develop negotiation arguments and execute either independently or as a member of a team and monitor contract compliance.
  • Work with National Account Specialist to manage cost recovery by managing and administering energy, freight and obsolete stock management (OSM).
  • Able to manage direct reports and may be responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management. Responsible for overall talent management and employee engagement; cultivates an environment of safety, high performance, and ethical and legal compliance; addresses employee relations issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred
  • 5-8 years of successful commercial experience, preferably in packaging, working with large, national accounts. Past experience in R&D, Operations and/or Supply Chain a plus
  • Business acumen, Communication, negotiation/selling, interpersonal and strategic planning skills
  • Understands financial modelling and cost accounting
  • Ability to build confidence and support of key customers
  • Ability to handle pressure both internally and with the customer
  • Solid technical aptitude with regards to PET and general plastics, resins, manufacturing processes, barrier materials and other competitive packaging mediums
  • Ability to cross functionally network - external as well as internal
  • Valid drivers license
  • Travel 25%
