Product Manager - TCF Home Loans (192347)

TCF is currently looking for a Product Manager within our HomeLoans Division.

This position will sit either in our Grand Rapids, MI or Plymouth,MN office.

The ideal candidate will have prior mortgage industry experienceand familiarity with Encompass Mortgage Software.

As a ProductManager, you will be responsible for the long-term strategy and vision for a productor set of products as part of a broader portfolio. Product Managers collaborateheavily across other products, and with business stakeholders to prioritize andsequence work in order to optimize the customer experience. Product Managersare accountable to ensuring the product roadmap is in line with customer andstakeholder expectations and has measurable KPIs. They are also accountable toensure that business outcomes and KPIs are achieved.


MajorAreas of Accountability

  • Responsible for the long-term product roadmap as part of a largerbusiness strategy.

  • Consistently and iteratively ensures that business strategies arebeing executed through product roadmaps

  • Leads team collaboration to manage and prioritize product roadmapand releases across multiple products.

  • Collaborates to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner whenthey arise.

  • Accountable to ensure that product teams understand the businessoutcomes needed, and that business outcomes are tied to a broader business goalor objective.

  • Identifies and tracks Key Performance Metrics; accountable toensure that KPIs are delivering the necessary business value

  • Ensures outcomes on the roadmap fit within capacity constraintsand are prioritized and sequenced in order to maximize value to the customer.

  • Collaborates across product teams to develop and roll out operationalplans.

  • Researches and identifies industry best practices and trends toincrease effectiveness.

  • Acquires, maintains and applies advanced knowledge of thebusiness, its products and processes, and an academic understanding of ProductManagement.

  • Consistently provides guidance to junior team members. Assistswith on boarding processes.

  • Perform supervisory functions, includingbut not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting,demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching anddeveloping staff.



Qualifications

MinimumQualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7-9 years relevant business experience
  • Passion and understanding of new technology andtrends

  • Strong communicator and communication abilityto all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organization

  • Proven success developing business cases,roadmaps, product execution strategies

  • Demonstrated experience with user interfacedesign and best practices for usability

  • Experience managing and leading a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong familiarity with Agile, Scrum bestpractices

  • Prior mortgage industry experience
  • Experience with Encompass Mortgage Software
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner or BusinessManager

  • Experience with strategic planning
  • Expert in defining high-quality businessrequirements and proficient in Agile story writing

  • SAFe agile certification
  • Proven experience in leading and influencingcross-functional teams

  • Successfully operates in a matrixedenvironment, sharing knowledge and coaching to drive high performance
