Typical business work hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, some over-time may be required. As the Loan Processing Manager, you will be expected to demonstrate a sense of urgency, willingness to work closely with others, and lead a team whose primary focus is service to our internal and external customers. This is an exempt position.

Purpose:

The Loan Processing Manager will provide leadership, oversight and team support to the Loan Processing team that services high producing Mortgage Loan Officers. This position will manage file flow and act as an advocate for loan from submission through funding within investor guidelines and the Bank of England Mortgage structure. Build and maintain effective relationships through strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationships-building and consistent demonstrations of solid professional judgement. The Loan Processing Manager will also view, have access to and work with confidential employee information and customer financial data. The person in this position must adhere to strict company confidentiality policies and procedures.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

1.Manage assigned Full-Time and Part-Time employees. Set goals and daily priorities for all loan processing staff and for the overall department. Manage direct reports so as to effectively evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their work activities. Perform hiring, training and performance management reviews.

2.Manage performance of daily pipeline incorporating rush request. Manage daily pipeline reports and insure the loans are flowing through the system within the agreed upon service level agreements.

3.Review current staff pipeline and new loans, assign to designated processors for loan set-up and processing. Ensure all processing staff meets required deadlines for loans within their pipeline. Determine when load balance is required and communicate with all parties involved.

4.Work closely with Sales Managers to identify negative trends among originators that are associated with key areas such as compliance or loan quality. Interface with internal operations and support areas to identify root cause of issues and work directly with management to provide solutions.

5.Work closely with Branch and Sales Managers in keeping an open line of communication. Manage process and procedure changes by communicating best practice solutions to peers and sales managers. Maintain feedback with Sales Managers, Originators, Underwriters, Closer/Funders and Branch Management to ensure high standards of continuing loan quality and peer effectiveness.

6.Ensure Loan Processors are effectively communicating to all parties (internal, external, management, clients, customers & vendors) in regards to daily status of loans. Provide support for escalated problem resolution and resolve operational issues raised by sales managers.

7.Provide guidance to all processing staff on program guidelines and acceptable documentation to meet company policy, agency and investor guidelines. The Loan Processing Manager must be proficient in how to look up all guidelines, policies and procedures within the company and agencies and provide training of the same.

8.Analyze weekly and monthly reports and provide results to BOEM management team with detailed findings and trends including a comparison to the prior month to identify training opportunities for specific needs within the department. Provide recommendations for process improvement and system updates needed accomplish the desired results.

9.Maintain open communication with all Branch Locations and Corporate Departments, Compliance, Underwriting, Post-Closing, Closing, Accounting, Payroll, Secondary and Human Resources. Conduct monthly processor meetings to share best practices and keep staff abreast of all guideline updates.

10.Support the Little Rock Corporate Processing Training Program - for loan processing training and develop curriculum for basic processor training including any tools necessary to ensure branch and local staff understands new products or guidelines aimed at increasing production volume and improving loan quality.

11.As the Loan Processing Manager, you and your directives must understand and comply with all federal and state compliance in the generation of documents and maintaining of logs to ensure complete and accurate compliance with RESPA, Regulation Z, Fair Lending, HMDA, Bank Secrecy Act and other regulations regarding the mortgage application/origination process. It is required that you and your staff understand and comply with mortgage industry regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, Truth-in-Lending laws, etc. Open communication with Corporate Compliance Department for guidance and support.

12.Promote a positive collaborative work environment for the Loan Processing Department and your peers. Manage direct reports so as to effectively evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their work activities.

13.Work as directed and other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Education & Experience:

*High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, some college preferred; College degree desired.
*Intermediate to computer proficiency skills with MS Office, Excel and Mortgage Loan Applications/Software) Encompass 360 desired.
*Minimum of one (1) year of recent work experience in management required.
*Minimum five (5) years' recent experience as a Senior and/or Level III Mortgage Loan Processor, including loan support and loan processing Conv, USDA, FHA & VA.
*Ability to multi-task and operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
*Ability to collaborate with employees, loan officers and management to resolve issues.
*Ability to set priorities and demonstrate thoroughness and accuracy.

*The Loan Processing Manager will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office and is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with a wide variety of others on a regular basis with various issues. The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration and must also spend long hours on the computer entering financial information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress.
